Titans Age Graded League Tables

Graded Swimming was first introduced into the UK in 2005 as a means of comparing performances across events and age groups. These ASA Age Graded Tables have been scientifically calculated so that any possibility of bias towards one event or age group is removed. The AAA Graded Times broadly equate to National Qualifying Times.

The Titans use this ASA Graded system as a personal incentive structure for all swimmers. Each swimmer in the Club has been awarded points, based on their 25m Converted Personal Best Times in relation to the AAA 25m Graded Qualifying Times. The events that qualify for points are those that can be swum at the National Age Group and Youth Championships.

They are as follows:

  • 50m Freestyle
  • 100m Freestyle*
  • 200m Freestyle
  • 400m Freestyle
  • 800m Freestyle (Girls Only)
  • 1500m Freestyle (Boys Only)
  • 100m Backstroke*
  • 200m Backstroke
  • 100m Breaststroke*
  • 200m Breaststroke
  • 100m Butterfly*
  • 200m Butterfly
  • 200m IM
  • 400m IM

(*Not applicable for 9/Us)

In order to qualify for any points a swimmer’s PB must be within 112.5% of this benchmark.

The total points then allocated to each swimmer are based on their best 7 events (defined as the 7 in which they have secured the most points).
