Midland District Championships

Following the County Championships, the next rung up the ladder/mountain to climb is the Midland District Championships. These are held each year over two weekends in June.

They present the opportunity for swimmers to compete against the best of their age group from the entire Midlands.

In order to compete in the Midland District Championships swimmers need to record a qualification time at an ASA licensed meet. The cut off date for achieving this qualification time is usually about 4 weeks before the Championships commence. The qualifying age for the Districts is the age on the last day of the Championships.  It is the age as of this date which determines age group.  Swimmers need to be at least 10 years old as at that date in order to compete in the District Championships
