Hannah Gets County Call Up

hannah greeneEllesmere College Titan Swimmer Hannah Greene (aged 12) has been called up for her first cap to represent Shropshire County in the forthcoming Kingelee inter-county swimming gala which is to take place on Sunday 10th May in Milton Keynes.

Hannah who goes to Thomas Adams School in Wem is part of the Titans highly successful youth development academy coached by UKCC Level 3 Coach Jon Pardoe,  British Olympic Breaststroke swimmer Darren Mew and former Czech Republic National fin swimming champion Helena Kocourkova. She has been selected to represent the County at 12/u level.

Also selected to represent the County at this gala are fellow Titan swimmers Alfie Pardoe (aged 11), Jamie Thomas (aged 11), James Wilson (aged 11) and Elliot Hughes (aged 12).

Commenting upon her selection Hannah said “I’ve lived and gone to school in Shropshire all my life. I’m so proud that I will now be swimming for the County team”.

Titan head coach Jon Pardoe said “Obviously it is a massive honour to represent one’s County. I’m delighted for Hannah.  Her selection is further evidence of the Titans growing reputation for developing young swimming talent. There are a number of other swimmers within the club who are on the precipice of also being called up in the future”.

Shropshire will competing against the top swimmers from Leicstershire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxon for the prestigious Kingelee trophy.
