Titans Welcome New Physio

Ellesmere College Titans are delighted to welcome Chartered Physiotherapist Fiona O’Reilly to the coaching set up. Fiona will take responsibility with immediate effect for overseeing all of the Titans preventative phsio screenings and injury treatment.  This will involve providing Titan swimmers with individual feedback on exercises to prevent injury and improve performance.

Fiona  is a Chartered Physiotherapist who qualified from Manchester Royal Infirmary in 1996 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy.  She runs her own Private Practice, treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and sports injuries.

As an ex swimmer herself she has for the last few years worked closely with British swimming and the ASA on the England Development Camps. This has resulted in her working with some of the UK’s elite swimmers as well as attending international team events such as the European Junior Championships.

Commenting on the new appointment Titans head coach Jon Pardoe said “Fiona has a proven track record within swimming of preventing and treating injury. I am delighted that we have teamed up to provide her expertise to Titan swimmers”.
