Titans Celebrate Liverpool Medal Haul
At last weekend’s City of Liverpool Level 1 Open Meet, Titan swimmers amassed a total of 10 medals, recorded 33 Personal Best times and broke 9 Club records.
Competing against some of the best swimmers from all over the UK, Michael Doyle, age 9, won the gold medal in the 400m freestyle in a time of 5:50.60, which moves him up into third position in the UK rankings.
James Wilson, age 12, qualified for the British Age Group Championships in both the 400m IM and 200m Backstroke events.
Titan head coach Jon Pardoe commented “I’m absolutely delighted for Michael, James and all of the Titan swimmers who competed at Liverpool. The Ellesmere College swimming program is all about helping to develop and foster the best environment in which talent can thrive.These swimmers train incredibly hard and it is great to see them getting the deserved rewards for all that hard work”.
Other Titan swimmers who were in action at the Liverpool meet included Elliot Hughes (aged 13), Alfie Pardoe (aged 12), Jamie Thomas (aged 12), Hannah Greene (aged 13), Tom Lloyd (age 11), Luc Jarzynski (age 11), Annie Jones (age 14), Leon Parkes (age 13) and Jessica Thomas (age 9).
