Titans Wrap Up County Championships in Emphatic Mode

Last Sunday’s closing ceremony of the 2010 Shropshire County Swimming Championships, held at Market Drayton, drew to a conclusion two weekends of intense competition.

Less than two years since the establishment of the Titans they literally took Championships by storm, being awarded 2 overall best boy and girl trophies; smashing 10 all time County records; and winning 21 individual gold, 31 silver and 26 bronze medals.

Swimming against the very best swimmers from all over the County, Titan swimmers recorded a total of 148 Personal Best times and broke 31 Titan Club Records.

Titans Head Coach Jon Pardoe commented “I’m absolutely delighted for all of our swimmers. Watching many of their performances was truly inspirational”.

To celebrate their remarkable success, Titan swimmers were whisked away at the end of the final day of competition on Sunday 14th March in four chauffeur driven luxury stretch limousines to a celebration dinner at Chester Racecourse’s glamorous restaurant 1539, where they were welcomed by Chester Racecourse Chief Executive Richard Thomas and given the full red carpet treatment.
