Chantelle Ridgway Joins Titans

CHANTELLE RIDGWAYYet another talented young swimmer is joining the Ellesmere College Titans squad this September.

Chantelle has been a pupil at Castle Donington Community College in the East Midlands for the past 3 years.  She is now set to join former Donington pupil Beatrice Roberts at Ellesmere College for the start of the new term in September.

Chantelle has been a member of Long Eaton Swimming Club since the age of 8 where her commitment and dedication has been repeatedly recognised with numerous awards and accolades.

She has regularly represented her home club, and holds a number of club records. She has competed at County level since the age of 9, where she has won gold, silver and bronze over the years, with many top 5 placings across a variety of strokes and distances.

Regional Qualification

Chantelle achieved her first Regional qualification this year (a May birthday making qualification for regionals a tall order!) and is looking forward to working with Titans Head Coach, Jon Pardoe, and his team for the new season to achieve Regional qualifying times in 2012, with the longer term ambition of National level qualification and beyond.

Commenting on this exciting opportunity Chantelle enthuses, ‘I am very excited about the future and delighted to be joining such a dynamic, innovative and forward thinking club.’

Head Coach Jon Pardoe adds, ‘My goal for the Titans is to recruit the best of UK talent to develop a squad that will bring out the best in individual swimmers and also the Titans squad – the Titans have gone from strength to strength and the addition of swimmers such as Chantelle demonstrates our commitment to making the Titans the premier competitive squad in the country.’
